Six Hair Growth Tips for Woman Who Take Vitamins

If you are taking hair vitamins there are a couple of things you can do to make sure you are getting the best sources of nutrients possible for healthy hair growth.

Here are some hair growth tips when it comes to taking supplements –

Tip #1  – Buy PreNatal Vitamins

Did you know that many of the ingredients that are in prenatal vitamins are the same ones that help grow long lustrous hair?  This is because prenatal vitamins contain great big doses of the usual A, B, C, E, Iron and Folate that are needed to create a healthy baby in the womb. Those same vitamins can do wonders for your hair growth.

TIP #2 – Take Liquid Vitamins

If you take liquid vitamins then there is a chance that they might be absorbed much easier by your body. Studies have shown that this is indeed the case with some people but other studies have shown that if your body will not absorb the pill form then it will not absorb the liquid form either as absorption in general depends on the liver.  Even though liquid vitamins are more expensive they are worth it if your body does not seem to be able to digest vitamins.

TIP # 3– Take Your Vitamins With Food

If you take your hair vitamins with food they have a better chance of being digested by the body as the body is more likely to be secreting powerful digestive enzymes when you eat. Your stomach will simply treat the vitamins as part of the food stuff. If you take hair vitamins on an empty stomach you risk upsetting and it may down break down as well in your stomach.

TIP #  4– Take Digestive Enzymes With Pills

If you are going to take the pills then be sure to take a digestive enzyme with it. This can help your body break down the pill more effectively because most pills are filled with binders that are hard to digest. This prevents the hair vitamin from being passed straight through your body.

TIP # 5 – Take Vitamin C Every Single Day

Vitamin C is not stored in the body and a lot of it is degraded by pollution. Consult with a doctor or dietician to see how much you can take a day. Most people can do at least 50 mcg. Take it in a time release formula so that the C is dispersed through your body all day.  The constant presence of the Vitamin C will help protect your hair follicles from damage.

Tip # 6 – Be Sure You Get Enough B12

If you are going to take Vitamin B12 keep in mind that it is one of the hardest of B vitamins for your body to absorb.  Consider taking them in the form of a mouth spray or as a liquid as that is how this vitamin is best assimilated into the body. If you are really deficient, to the point where you are actually balding, then it is time to get vitamin B12 injections.

Follow this advice and you should see a definite improvement in the appearance of your hair!
