Pantothentic Acid (B5) For Pretty Hair and Healthy Scalp

Pantothenic acid, also called vitamin B5, is an antioxidant water-soluble vitamin needed to break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Specifically, it is part of coenzyme-A (CoASH) in the metabolism and transfer of carbon chains. It is an absolute building block that is necessary for you to have beautiful, strong, long hair.

It is not the best idea to take this B vitamin totally on its own. To save money, buy it in a formula with all B vitamins in the amount of at least 50 mg each.  It is not recommended that you take over 100 mg of B5 a day. The effectiveness of this vitamin is also increased if you take it along with Vitamin A, E and Vitamin C.

If you are taking this vitamin to try and cure dandruff or grow hair then it is not recommended that y take more than 15,000 IU a day. Taking too much can cause your teeth and gums to feel sensitive.
